Abstract

“Analysis of the Sustainability Report of Tassano Group”

In this dissertation, the Tassano Group’s Sustainability Reports of 2016, 2017 and 2018 have been analysed.
The first Chapter presents an overview of the Tassano Group and gives a brief introduction to its history,
values and structure.

The second Chapter dives deeper into the topic of Sustainability. First, it was developed an analysis of the
social and economic value created, paying particular attention to job placement (the Group’s main activity).
Then, the most important Key Performance Indicators used in the reports are compared over the years to
understand the evolution of the business.

Finally, a document on the Sustainable Development Goals achieved by a particular Consortium is
examined to understand, through the KPI’s used, the extent of its commitment to these goals.
In the third Chapter, a comparison is made between the Tassano Group Reports and the standards to be
met. Firstly, an introduction to the Third Sector and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is presented. Then,
the GRI Standards considered in the reports are analysed in depth to understand how well the Group
complies with them.

The last two Chapters show the conclusions, in which the positive aspects and the shortcomings of the
Reports are summarised.
